Challenges
1. Create and maintain information about who their customers
are and how to maximize the relationship with them.
Roopa's wished to have a section available, in which
the all the customers' details could be registered so
as to report information regarding the Studio's updates
and promotions.
2. Roopa's wanted a customized format for their dress
section. E.g To input the details for stitching a pant
or shirt only relevant details should be seen on the
screen.
3. Maintain the billing section to find out whether
the client has paid the dues or not.
4. Calculate labor cost for sewing, embroidery, designing
etc.
5. To find out the daily schedule (i.e. what products
are to be done today or between any two dates)
6. To see the monthly account (i.e. what business had
been done at the day's end or between any two dates)
Solution
After an initial meeting to discuss the requirements,
it was agreed that Roopa's Design Studio required
a software package to do the implementation. Hexarts
Web Design offered the following solutions.
Anyone with the correct level of authorization could
operate the package. They can create, edit, view and
print data directly, without having any technical
skills. It enabled the data collected to be stored
and analyzed to provide essential services for the
future.
Major functions of Software Package include:
1. Creation and maintenance of master database for
customers by giving a unique code for them.
2. Featuring an ability to use dropdown box while
choosing the dress (eg, salwar, kameez, skirt, pant
etc)
3. As every person is unique so is their apparel.
Keeping this in mind each dress designed for them
was given a separate code to be very precise.
4.The dress code was given so as to ensure that any
modifications in their statistics were duly recorded,
and the end product was of excellent quality.
5. Listing all the dresses ordered by a customer.
6. Billing Details included the designing cost, embroidery
cost, labor cost (as applicable)
7. There were detailed reports for keeping in touch
with the preproduction part. i.e. To find out what
products were to be finished in a particular time
frame.
8. Also reports for keeping a track of the daily accounts,
monthly accounts etc. and the dress sold or designed.
Results
1. We developed an interface that could be easily
used without any technical skills
2. Created a package to manage the customer information
regarding their dress and billing
details.
3. Reports were thoroughly made so as to help the
customer in his dress and also Roopa's Design Studio
in the billing and cancellation part.
4. They can use this package to increase their customer
service by knowing their previous dress details.
5. Maintaining of accounts was done very accurately
and swiftly.
